Sultankoy Beach (Sultankoy Halk Plajı) is 47 km from the center of Mersin. This is the first and closest good beach to the city, which is worth a trip at least once.

Despite its modest size – its width is about 80 meters, there is an opportunity to rent a chaise longue and an umbrella, and there is also a place to eat. The only drawback is that there is a noisy road nearby.

The beach is sandy, the entrance to the sea is gentle and also sandy. There are protective buoys. The peculiarity of Sultankoy Halk Plajı is that cold springs are beating here, so sometimes you can get into cold areas in the water, but this does not interfere with swimming in any way.

You can get here from Mersin by bus No. 170 or minibus (Mersin-Silifke), the journey time is about an hour. The fare is ~ 50 liras. It is difficult to leave by minibus on the way back, with a 99% probability you will have to stand, since there are usually no seats anymore, passengers clog it in Kyzylesi.

The easiest way is to leave the car on the opposite side of the road to the beach, and go here through an elevated crossing.
