Most tourists have a vacation at the sea only once a year. But often, instead of relaxing, vacationers have to fight for a place on the beach. Which beaches of the world were especially crowded and noisy in 2023 – in our selection.

The editorial board of the American edition of the Florida Panhandle, based on user reviews on the Tripadvisor platform, studied the loading of the most popular beaches in each country.

The results of the study turned out to be interesting. Five of the 10 busiest beaches in the world are in Spain.  In addition, only the beaches of European countries are in the top ten: France, Italy, Greece and Cyprus.

TOP 10 MOST CROWDED BEACHES IN THE WORLD

The busiest beach in the world is named Cala Agulla (Cala Agulla) in Mallorca. Every fourth tourist reported that in summer there is “nowhere to fall”.

“Here you will find magnificent white sand and crystal clear blue water… But if you come here at the height of the season, there will be nowhere to put a towel. We watched crowds of people and umbrellas as far as the eye can see,” one disgruntled tourist wrote in a review.

The second busiest one in the list is another representative of Spain – Levant Beach in Salou.   In third place in terms of population – Port Grimaud (Port Grimaud) on the Cote d’Azur in France.

The beach is on the fourth line La Cinta (Spiaggia La Cinta) in Sardinia, famous for its snow-white sand and crystal clear turquoise water.

There are two more Spanish beaches in fifth and sixth place: Cala Gran (Cala Gran) and Cala Domingos (Cala Domingos) in Mallorca.

On the seventh line was the Greek Koukounaries (Koukounaries Beach) on the island of Skiathos. The eighth place in the ranking of the busiest users was given to the beach The Blue Lagoon in Malta.
